The Nekojasuri Cat Groomer:

This comb is super cat-friendly and really works!

I just received my Nekojasuri Cat Groomer. This little comb is a game-changer. I have spent hundreds on cat grooming combs and brushes, from which my three cats run when they see me coming their way with ANY of them. But, Oh my goodness! Every one of my cats were a bit guarded initially. But the next response was the cats begging for more of this comb while they purred loudly.

The comb removes hair gently, so you must comb them for a while to remove a bunch of loose hair. The comb leaves their coat with a healthy sheen. I have already ordered one additional comb in another color for the bedroom. I am so motivated to get their coats healthy-looking and shiny for the upcoming Holidays.

I’m happy to know I’m saving money by no longer buying useless gadgets.

They love it!

Bought on a whim, because who knows what toy is going to be a hit? We have baskets of playthings that just didn’t work out.

Cat #1 is crazy for this, rubs her face all over it, and hugs it, makes little chirrups when I bring it out. She just loves it! Cat #2 is more mellow about it, but still, I get deep happy purrs.

I think it’s a texture thing – it doesn’t work like a brush or comb, though we did have a little hair flying around. I’d say it’s more psychological support and pleasure than grooming, and as a former kitten foster, I wonder if it would help break the ice and calm down the spicy babies. I definitely feel my cat likes me better!

Thank you for your purchase, and we’re very happy to see your cats love it! Your comment on The Nekojasuri being “more psychological support and pleasure than grooming” is exactly what it was designed to do.  You are also correct to suggest that it works wonderfully to “break the ice”. We saw both of our rescue ‘feral’ cats become a welcome part of our family.

My cats and dog love this. But it’s still very expensive. And it doesn’t really groom/de-shed. But they love it.

Comment from Japanese Goods USA:

Thank you for your review. We’re glad your cat and dog love it, and yes, it is a bit expensive. The Patented Nekojasuri is crafted in Japan by a 130-year-old manufacturer of all types of files and rasps and was imported from Hiroshima. The material is eco-friendly AES plastic for a long life.

The Nekojasuri is basically a file, that closely resembles your cat’s rough tongue, and is extremely effective in making your cat feel as if they are self-grooming. It is not a brush and isn’t meant to work to de-shed.

From Japanese Goods USA:

From CEO June Voss the first time she tested The Nekojasuri at a cat cafe:

I had so much fun with the kittens, and now I’m 200% confident to say “ The Nekojasuri works amazingly!!!” I tried the Nekojasuri with all the kitties they had today. I would say probably 15 cats. A few of them were a little scared at the initial touch, but ALL of them came back to me on their own to get more spa time!!!!

Also watching the kittens enjoying being groomed was a very soothing, almost therapeutic kind of time for me as well. It was amazing!!!!!’

The Microwave Donabe:

This donabe is freaking awesome at making perfect rice in the microwave. The rice doesn’t burn and comes out fluffy (or sticky depending on the amount of water) every time. It has gotten near-daily use since I bought it and easily replaced all of my other rice cooking gear.
