★ Ingredients ( The amount of ingredients and heating time are measured for 1 ~ 2 people )

★ cooking times may vary depending on your microwave's wattage, brand and size.

  1. Place the cooked rice in the Donabe. Then add 4 tablespoons of canned tomatoes, 100 ml of water, 1/2 teaspoon of chicken stock, 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese, a dash of garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.

  2. put the lid on and place the Donabe in the microwave. Cook it at 60% power for 3min and 30 seconds.

  3. Carefully remove the Donabe from the microwave and mix gently.

  4. Leave it for 3~5 minutes with the lid on so that the rice absorbs the soup and becomes thicker. If the taste is not enough, adjust it with salt and pepper as per your preference. (if you want the vegetables to be softer, you can leave them in the pot for a longer time)

CEO and creator of Japanese Goods USA

Hi, I'm June Voss, CEO of the company, a wife to an amazing husband whom I met while working at Walt Disney World and a mother of 2 wonderful children ( and 2 dogs, 11 goats and 3 rescued feral cats). I was born and raised in Japan. I would love to share delicious Japanese foods, culture and everything I love about the beautiful country.  I am not a professional chef, I just love cooking! I have translated and added some of the recipes I like, but once you've cooked a few of these dishes, you'll soon be able to cook almost anything in your Microwave Donabe. I hope you enjoy it and can't wait to hear & see your own Donabe creations!
