★ Ingredients ( The amount of ingredients and heating time are measured for 1 ~ 2 people )

Directions

  1. Slice the onion thinly. Cut the tomatoes into small cubes.

  2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. (thinner the better) Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and coat with flour.

  3. Put flour-coated chicken, onions, and tomatoes in the Donabe. Add sake, sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, chicken cube, and Worcestershire sauce and mix all the contents well.

  4. Cover the donabe and microwave at 60% (600W) for 8min.

  5. Take out the donabe from the microwave and mix the contents well. Then, put it back in the microwave and cook it at 60% power (600W) for 5 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked. Remember to cover the dish again before microwaving it.

  6. If you would like to add some cheese, put the lid on and let the donabe sit for 3 minutes or so to melt the cheese.

  7. That's it! Your dish is now ready to serve.

CEO and creator of Japanese Goods USA

Hi, I'm June Voss, CEO of the company, a wife to an amazing husband whom I met while working at Walt Disney World and a mother of 2 wonderful children ( and 2 dogs, 11 goats and 3 rescued feral cats). I was born and raised in Japan. I would love to share delicious Japanese foods, culture and everything I love about the beautiful country.  I am not a professional chef, I just love cooking! I have translated and added some of the recipes I like, but once you've cooked a few of these dishes, you'll soon be able to cook almost anything in your Microwave Donabe. I hope you enjoy it and can't wait to hear & see your own Donabe creations!
