Beef Bowl(Gyudon)

Simple "Japanese Beef Bowl" dish. Some restaurant chains advertise "Kobe Beef Bowl", but to use actual "Kobe Beef" is very expensive! Less expensive beef tastes just fine in this recipe.

Prep Time 5 mins Cook Time 2 mins Rest Time 2 mins Total Time 9 mins 2 Servings: 2



    1. Cut the onion into thin slices
    2. Mix sake, soy sauce, mirin, water, vinegar, sugar and ginger into the Donabe( mix well so the sugar dissolves better)
    3. Add ① and beef into the Donabe
    4. Microwave for 3min (add 1~2min if you used thicker meat)
    5. Take the Donabe out from microwave and let it sit for 1~2min
    If it's too salty, please add hot water 1TBS at a time to adjust the flavor.
